24 hour emergency roof repairs across Kent

A 24 hour call out for storm damage and sudden leaks, made watertight first.

Roofs rarely fail at a convenient hour. We keep a twenty four hour call out running for genuine emergencies, because the gap between a roof letting go and someone getting to it is what decides whether this is a repair or a ceiling.

The first job is always to stop the water. Making a roof watertight is not the same as repairing it, and on a wet night in February it is the only thing worth doing. We make it safe, we show you what we found, and we come back and do the repair properly in daylight.

What the job involves

  • 24 hour call out for genuine emergencies, on the landline
  • Made watertight first, so the damage stops getting worse tonight
  • Storm damage, sudden leaks, slipped tiles and debris strikes
  • Photographs of what we find, taken on the roof rather than a verdict from the pavement
  • The permanent repair quoted properly once the roof is safe
  • Insurance work undertaken

Two roofs, half an hour apart, two specifications

Sheltered, inland Ashford
Galvanised fixings
Perfectly sound here, and cheaper. Spending more would be spending for the sake of it.
Exposed, Lydd and Dymchurch
Stainless fixings
Quoted as standard rather than as an upgrade, because the cheaper option does not survive out here.

Salt off the Channel corrodes ferrous metal far faster than ordinary damp air. We have taken tiles off roofs on the coast after nothing more than a breezy week, purely because the nails holding them had rusted through. That is a specification failure, not a tile failure.

If a roofer quotes the same specification for a Lydd bungalow as for a sheltered terrace in town, they either do not know the difference or have not priced for it.

How we specify for each area

Ken and Charlie re roofed our maisonette after having a bad leak and arranged for other work to be done for us which they also were involved. Everything that was done was to a high standard. He kept us informed regularly, was tidy and very reliable. I personally would highly recommend this man.

Had these guys come to do a moss removal job. Fantastic work, cleared all the moss using the safer method of doing it by hand rather than pressure washer. Cleared up after themselves and roof now looks much better. Highly recommended and we're going to use them again to bring the fascias and soffits up to scratch and do a couple of minor roof repairs next.
