We take commercial work as well as domestic, which on a patch like ours mostly means shop and pub roofs, small industrial units, offices, holiday lets and rental property. Same trade, same standards, and usually a different set of constraints.
The building normally has to keep working while we are on it. That means access and timing get planned before the roof does, and it is why we would rather come and look than quote off a description. Insurance work is undertaken, and we are fully insured with the certificate available on request.

Salt off the Channel corrodes ferrous metal far faster than ordinary damp air. We have taken tiles off roofs on the coast after nothing more than a breezy week, purely because the nails holding them had rusted through. That is a specification failure, not a tile failure.
If a roofer quotes the same specification for a Lydd bungalow as for a sheltered terrace in town, they either do not know the difference or have not priced for it.

Had these guys come to do a moss removal job. Fantastic work, cleared all the moss using the safer method of doing it by hand rather than pressure washer. Cleared up after themselves and roof now looks much better. Highly recommended and we're going to use them again to bring the fascias and soffits up to scratch and do a couple of minor roof repairs next.
